Turbine tubes and bondo!

This is about as far as I can go today. I dont have any sandpaper so until I can go grab some tomorrow after class, Im at a brick wall. I did get the tubes cut and bondo'd on. For inquiring minds, the black piece is a PVC pipe piece and the purple one is an old plastic cup I had that was just about perfect for the 90mm fan hole

Pics:

What I did was put the front bezel on, and using this bar (its used in the case as a structure bar in front of the side panel, but its really useless) I sat the tubes on top of it. The bar gave me about 1/8" of clearance from my cut-holes and held the tubes in place until I could tape them down.

Taping the bottom 120mm tube on. I did them one at a time just for ease of working and simplicity.

Mmmmm, materials. The spreaders are really cheap, you can get them at most hardware or WalMart stores for like $1 a pack. I used one and cut it into 1/3's for the small areas. Really helpful, I used the big one for the front of the bezel.

Securing the bottom peice. Messy, but structural.

After the bottom one hardened sufficiently I taped the top one in place again using the bar in previous pictures and bondo'd it on as well.

Actually missed a few steps here. After the previous pic, I taped up the front of the bezel from the tubes to the side of the panel. Then I flipped it over and filled in the rest of the gap area with bondo and made sure to spread it up onto the tubes to secure them. This pic is after that had dried and I removed the tape.

This is the first real coat on the front. Smoothing it out now.

Don't know if it shows or not, but under the bottom tube it had a depression. This is after I filled that and a few more low spots.

Test fitting the front. I think this thing will look KILLER!!

Added "revenio rursus" to the title. It means 'to return again' in latin. I think it will be the name of the rig, what do ya'll think??

2-cents: A split-face window like kennymesters ChemX480 would look cool. Take note how he matched the slope of the existing "pinholes" - that slope looks sweeeeeet!

I'll check that build I havent seen it, thank syrillian

Syrillian. What kind of design did you have in your head for the window? I like the split effect but Im not sure on the design. Attached is a regular shot of the side panel if anyone will give me window ideas. This is something I did quick in paint for a split window, but maybe I could do rectangles or something .
