Don't get me wrong, it an awesome controller, very well built. Looks sleek and sexy, I do love it, but they really could have dimmed the led's on this thing

Uhm, how about not? Knowing my luck you have a car that drives about 8 miles on a gallon of gas! Think about it for spring break; we are having a beautiful snowy day right now.

My computer is as bright as the floor lamp, but at least it is spread out over a large area (see profile picture) instead of all sitting in two pinpoints.

OT: My spring break is this week and due to my job paying every two weeks rather than week by week, I dont get paid until after spring break. Broke on spring break, aint that a b*tch?!

Your case has some nice lighting to it man! Lol @ 'just two pinpoints". Mine will have some blue CCL's and some UV in as well, just have to get them ordered. Also need so order some blue led 80mms for the rear.

That is really coming together tight Repo!

On the Sunbeam and LED thing. I agree that a bezel painted to match would be the way to go. If you go the "stealthed" route with a cover bezel, that thing is super easy to take apart. If your new bezel is attached well enough, the nuts on the stalks are plenty to support it without the chassis mounting.

Once you get to that point, you might be able to just use pin-holes drilled in your bezel for the LED's to shine through from behind. It might give you a subtle projection effect from the LED's that lets their indicator function stay intact without being so silly bright.

<shrug> That might be a way to save the effort and frustration of soldering on resistors.

i agree with stealthing a cover for the controller and paint it the same colour as the case

Got the rhoebus took apart and mounted on one of the covers I already had painted. It came out AWESOME +to coffee and warf for helping with the idea.

Mounted up to the back of the cd bay cover.

(Bad) pic of it. The cam made the color look funky

Thats much better, and no more LASERS!!!

Also, I dunno a/b those knobs yet. Im not sure if I want to change the color on them, or get silver/chrome/aluminum ones/ or what. I'll have to let it set in on me for a day or so. Any comments, what do you guys think?

Looks awesome.

I'd sit on the knobs for now. I really don't think they look bad at all in black on that metallic.
