I think I'm going to hold off on the 45's for now. The 8x multi on the 9450's is not impressing me. I need to hit at least 4.5ghz to warrant the upgrade.

Technically I guess 1.5V might be the limit. But from what I understand, if you got the cooling then it doesn't matter much. If it blows, there is still like 2 years+ of warranty left.

Well there is a difference between toasting it on voltage and toasting it on heat.

The 45nm seem to be more sensitive to voltage as a few members have nuked when over 1.4V, temps on the 45's are good because of that die shrink but it makes them more sensitive to electron migration and damage from voltage.

The Q6600 is less prone to that damage. Cooling doesn't solve all the issues, it helps lower the risks some. Those chips that you see the LN2 boys running at 2V don't last long because of the voltage even though the temps are in check.

I'd just use some caution that's all. In the end as long as you are comfortable with it, who cares

I have to look through my screenies and see how much it took to do 4.0. It was in the high 1.5's tho. I wouldn't want to blow it up, but hopefully it will run for at least a year.

On another note I forgot to order a fourth Ultra Kaze for the rad... So that's 530cfm+ on the rad

Are those push out of the case or pull into? If they were push out you could put tassles on the rad grill and they would look like flames!

Modder's mesh would be good only if you decide to add a 120mm fan in the drive bays.

Yea that bay is not finished(I should have mentioned this. Not sure what I'm going to do about it just yet, but there will be some sort of mesh/filter.

Thanks man, tho he was talking about the 3.5" bays that sit empty right now. I think you're referring to the 5.25" bays up top.



On another note, there will be some delays until Friday or so. I have to wait on that rad now to finish up the loop.
