The deal was when I upgrade, I get to throw together my old stuff for the wife.

Well deals change. I plan to make her a beautiful small case for her birthday. I told her I sold the old stuff (as she told me to sell stuff if I want new stuff. She meant things like GFX cards but oh well) so this will be a big surprise.

I then took the Mobo, Video card, CPU and ram. Put it together with 1/2 the old peripherals. Got her a shiny white new case with white walls and a big side fan, a 1/4 hight slot load dvd multi burner, and a beautiful looking new power supply.

The key and focal point to this was to be the dragon and phoenix yin/yang cut out in the acrylic window to act as the big fan grill. After "acquiring" some design ideas on the web I set about free had drawing the design. End result, the yin/yang aspect is minimal but I think it looks awesome.

The design has changed beyond recognition due to life. Who knew a 120mm power supply would not fit in a small case? I had to run and get a good smaller one. The great looking one I had is out to be replaced by a boring looking one. Out comes the spray paint!

The front and back windows have been replaced by full doors. It seems Dremmels are unheard of in Taiwan! This means the cable management is crucial beyond words.

I have a few ideas for the slot load DVD, but we will have to wait and see how it goes. It is proving difficult to gt the parts I want.

And the lighting ideas I got from reading the Spooky threads on this forum.

The pictures are in reverse chronological order now. I will see if I have time to fix it later.

I added a clear lit fan to the side door. I don't know if I like it so it will probably be taken out and perhaps put into the other door as a suction fan. Time and temperatures will tell.

I completely forgot the feet. They are sitting in the bag ready to go on. Not in time but I will update when I have time.
