This is my entry for OCN's Case Mod Comp. 08
First I want to start off with the tools I am going to be using for this mod: ![]() ![]() List of Tools Include: Kawasaki 1 amp 250 Piece Rotary Tool kit Hot Glue gun with glue Paint: Rustoleum Safety Red & Hammered Black, Clear Coat Spray Grip Sandpaper Scoring tool for Plexiglass 6V Driver Clear electrical tape Drill Masking Tape Zip Ties

First thing on the list is to get the small things painted, so I started off by giving the Fan holders a color makeover:

Time for the Red paint:

Here are my mods for the interior of the case:
I changed out the default LEDs for the power and HDD activity: From: ![]() To: ![]() Then I gave the ram an HS a make over: before: ![]() ![]() Paint: ![]() ![]() Fangrill mod: ![]() ![]() ![]() LOL ![]() And here's the after math: ![]() ![]()

Follow up on parts to install
4 80mm Red LED fans ![]() In brackets: ![]() Raw processor ready for thermal paste and HSF ![]() Thermal Paste applied: ![]() HSF installed: ![]() This is my video card I was going to use for this, but I noticed some artifacting before I modded it, I ignored it, then I booted up after the card was finished and it is dead. ![]() ![]() ![]() Here is the final product: ![]() ![]() Completed DVD Drive:

Here I dremeled out some wire management holes which I had marked in the first part of this log: ![]() ![]() Added stripping around the holes: ![]() ![]() Sanded down the black paint to prep for the red, top: ![]() Bottom: ![]() Cut out fan holes in the Back: ![]() Front: ![]() After new coat of paint: ![]() ![]() ![]()

Next I modded my main side panel, here I measured the plexiglass to fit the frame:
![]() I used this image for my side window ![]() sizing image for the window: ![]() And here it is applied and complete: ![]() I added a couple of LEDs to each side of the image to brighten it up, with a white background so it would show up: ![]() ![]()
