lol and btw Shiva is a god and not a goddess and he has only 4 arms ![]() Quote:
. All of them except one are perfectly straight. They dont gook straight in the pic because the server top is slightly tilted.

Update Update ...
A rather small one this time. I followed Dae Ja Voo's guide for adding LED's inside my DVD Drive and the remote eject switch. These lights are driven internally from the drives 12V power supply. Started off with soldering 3 LED's in series. with a 512 Ohm resistor attached to the circuit. Superguled the LED's to the back of the DVD Drive. ![]() ![]() I then wired up the remote eject switch to the Drive and was happy that it was done ![]() And then I hit my first hurdle. I totally for got that I needed to put the switch in the panel. Now how do I put a switch which is totally wired up into this hole ![]() ![]() I then looked in my scrap box and found this . This will allow me to disconnect the switch from the drive when ever I want to. and all I need to do to put the switch in the hole is to take the pins off the molex connector. ![]() I went about doing that for an other hour. and finally All wired up. ![]() The male molex was stuck to the Drive using some superglue. Looks pretty neat. ![]() ![]() Connected ![]() ![]() And some final pics ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Thanks for looking -wasted

thats awesome!
where did you get that switch? I have to pick one of those up ![]() where exactly are those LEDs? It looks like their backs are glued to something black, but are they on the back of the driver (like where the power/ide connectors are) or are they at the front, shining backwards into the drive? I have to try that mod

That drive work looks great! I wanted to do that LED mod in Phoenix but never got around to it. The switch looks awesome as well, is that one from MNPCTech?

Thanks
![]() Quote:
Having them at the front is difficult because there is hardly any place for the LED's to go in most of the area is occupied by the tray open/close mechanism. The switch is a 16mm vandal resistant switch from performance-pcs. ![]() linky for the switch ![]() ![]() Quote:
The one at MNPCTech is a lot cheaper but does not have the LED ring.
