Nice work, theres nothing cooler than seeing a stealth'ed drive work for the first time. I still open/close my stealth drives for no reason sometimes,lol!

Opinions Opinions ...

I made 2 designs to make a billet window for my fan. I asked around and people seemed to like the design on the lower half. So I went ahead and etched it on a scrap piece of acrylic. I wanted to get opinions from you guys

The final window will have 4 of the designs. One in each quarter.

I also did a little painting. The 6-32 nuts i ordered were silver in color and I needed to get them black, just for consistency sake.
So I arranged them up and sprayed them with some krylon fusion flat black

I also disassembled the monitor that I bought from NoahMateen and prepped it for painting. It will be painted flat black . I started off with this

and after about an hour of removing screws

I like the bottom design as well

. Are you planning on taping it off and sanding where the design will be for a 'smoked' look?

Are you just painting the exterior shell of the monitor or are you doing something else with it?

mmm.... nice color too.

Another "Aye" for the second design; looks more balanced.

Attention to details is a subtlety that goes a long way, the painted nuts are a prime example.

Thanks repo. I actually did end up sanding it off but I didn't take a picture.
The monitor right now will only be getting a coat of paint. I may end up doing something totally different with it like maybe replace the front panel with an acrylic sheet or something but for now painting seems to be the only plan.

. I was trying to do something like Bill Owens billet window for his warcraft case mod. but I ended up settling on this design instead.

Thanks Syr. Yes the balance is what came to my mind when I was making it. The larger portion will stay exactly at the corners and fill it and the ends will fill the thinner areas

The nuts were a spoiler when I was putting them on. Everything else was perfectly black except for the nuts. I couldn't stand it and had to paint them black

Oh and are the feet done? I swear they were in my dreams yesterday. I cant wait to see how they look with the lights
