Yes I guess that can be done but am actually not good at bending acrylic. I tried doing a stand for my ipod. The stand was supposed to be this semicircular thing on which the ipod would rest. After 3 failed attempts and burnt fingers I gave up. Actually bending acrylic is a very good option. but I just don't have the confidence to do it .

Its alright Manyak. Dont worry about it. The USB is doing its job so far.

Finally had a chance to catch up on this one, wastedtime.

Truly epic work. The shots with both case enclosures sitting side by side. There is a perfect asymmetrical balance going on there.

Simply superb! I caught myself just staring at it, like I would art.

I have every confidence the monitor mod will not disappoint. I'm anxiously awaiting the next installment, sir!

Thanks for the kind words warf.

The monitor mod will start soon, This week has been crazy busy. I finally got a chance to drive down to Lowes to pick up some stuff. The intention was to buy a Hitachi scroll saw and the bosch router.

But money was short and the space in my apartment is tight . So i convinced myself to just get a simple cheap router for now. I will upgrade to a better one later.

Here is a picture of the stuff I got.

1. Gloves and Wiping cloth.
2. 1/4" , 3/8" and 1/2" roundover bits.
3. Skil router. This was relatively cheap at $90
4. 4" Buffing wheel and arbor.
5. 6-32 tap drill
6. Some M4 screws.
7. Dremel EZ lock arbor and cut-of wheels.

I am in the process of ordering the rest of the acrylic for the monitor mod. I am going to be using some fluorescent blue acrylic. Lets see how it goes *crosses fingers.*

If everything gets here on time I should be able to make some decent progress this weekend

Finally got all my images up. I switched to a paid account on photobucket and also organized my album properly.

Please let me know if there are any broken images

Ha ha , Thanks Syr. I went crazy when the images wouldnt show up.
This was all because of me using a multiple email ids at different places.
The email that I used for my photobucket account was never checked. So i never knew this was coming .

Now Project "Migration" is in process. I am consolidating all my email addresses. Created a new photobucket account.. upgraded to pro.. watermarked my images and reuploaded all pictures.

Update Update ... It has been sooo long...

I finally got some time this weekend and did some work on the monitor mod.

I cut the outer frame for the monitor. It will be composed of 2 * 1/4" acrylic pieces. One black and one fluorescent blue.

I completed the black piece. It didnt turn out as well I had hoped but decent nonetheless.

I also cut 5 identical (3 black + 2 fluorescent ) square sheets. The fluorescent sheets will be sandwiched in between the black sheets. To make the base of the monitor.

Here is the base . I have to do a roundover on this one and sand it and polish it.

The first black piece for the monitor frame.
Didn't turn out as well as I had hoped for.. but its alright.. The fluorescent sheet will sit on top of this. So minor imperfections wont been seen.

Another picture

Ahhh.. Nice and shiny.

Thanks for looking
wasted
