Alright so the story so far. I was shaping the acrylic on the top panel and the PSU cover when my dremel suddenly stopped. The brushes on the dremel did not look worn out but I still went ahead and replaced them, that seemed to solve the problem for a minute but then again it died.

So i am going to go ahead and send it to the service center. they said they have a turnaround time of 24- 48 hours so I am estimating it to be back by the end of next week.

Till then I am planning on doing all the non dremel relates tasks like sanding the acrylic wiring up the led's etc.

was it getting hot at all? My Dremel 300 died once when it had overheating problems, so I returned it and got a 400

I was but it wasnt getting unusually hot. I thought that was normal. Hopefully they send me a dremel 400 as replacement instead of repairing the same one and sending it back

The clearcoat finally dried up and I am pretty happy with the way it turned out. Here are some pictures of the chassis.

oh btw duplicolor effex black is just insane. It gives u a nice black clearcoat when not under light but when light hits the surface the whole thing just glitters up like crazy .

I will post some more pictures of the paint job later. I need to find a better cam. My stupid 4 year old cybershot just does not cut it

Awesome job painting.

As you know a good paint job is 95% prep work.
