ha ha i know what you mean. every single panel I make it always feels like I could redo it to make it a little better . Hopefully the sheets of clear 3/8" acrylic get here by the weekend. I can get some work done then
.EDIT : @Nate I added a small sketchup image to the original plans for the PSU and Drive chamber. Hopefully it makes it a little better to understand

I got some bad news today. The TAP plastics order that I had placed on the 25th has been put on backorder because the Brillianze that I ordered is not in stock. This order had the 1/4" Solar Gray Sheet for the PSU and Drive chamber. So i cant work on that this weekend
The Delvies order has been delayed because the 5/8" acrylic rod is not in stock. This order had the 3/8" acrylic for the steps. So that is not going to be done either ![]() I am planning on getting some of the LED's wired and getting the base ready for the PSU and DVD Drive chamber. So here's what I have got done over the course of this week. I built a small frame from some leftover acrylic. This frame will hold the top cover in place. I am going to stick a couple of pieces of acrylic on the top cover that will fit into the grooves of the frame and help secure it. ![]() ![]() I have the top cover assembled . It still has to dry completely but I just couldn't wait ![]() All of the edges except one match up which is good news. This was a really tricky one . With light ![]() Without light ![]() Closeup of the edges of the fan hole ![]() ![]()

for persistence.Imho it is not OCD that drives you to re-do the work, it is your inherent sense of quality craftsmanship. Build on!

Thanks SerenityKill3r, I did it using a hole saw. I used a 4 1/2" hole saw with a 6.5 Amp Corded Drill. Then sanded it down with 80Grit Sandpaper. Then moved on to 240 and 800. Then wet sanded with 1500 and 2500 Grit.
![]() Here's a picture. I brought this one for around 30 bucks. My advice would be to spend a little and get the good holesaws rather than getting the cheap ones. The cheap ones really dont eat into the acrylic and only cause it to melt more. Too much speed with this hole saw will also cause the acrylic to melt resulting in a less than desirable cut. You will need to find the right speed for the cut. I used cold water to keep melting to a minimum. ![]() Quote:
Thanks nate. My plan is to get the LED's wired up this weekend. Will post a picture with the LED's in Quote:
Thanks Syr. means a lot to me ![]()
