Part 1: Taping & Drawing

Painters tape + outline drawn with right angled ruler

Compass, right-angled ruler, and pencil get the job done

Part 2: Cutting

Test run with 2" holesaw = fail

Decided to scrap the holesaw idea, went with jigsaw all the way around. Result:

Screwdriver got me

Tools: Double sided masking tape (thin), utility knife, piece o' cardboard.

BTW. Does anyone know if/how i can fix the scratches on the side panel to the right of the hold?

you could just re paint the pannel

Yeah, and there's some other compounds for filling in scratches, which don't work as great as simply repainting it.
