I've been lurking in and out over the weekend.

The paint - As much as I was against going to the shop, the black on the frame looks exquisite ! The finish on the purple seems lacking though, but I believe I remember your comment on the paint they used and them saying it wouldn't be as glossy. I DO like the color though. Purple and black look very good together, and this is no exception!

Nice work on the mesh as well, I like how you used the already present tabs to hold the mesh, nice!

thanks for the comments. Yeah, he said he wouldnt be able to clear coat the outside as much as the black parts, because the build would get too high, and stuf would start to not fit back together. I asked him if I can use some 3M Perfect It II rubbing compound and he said its fine. That stuff will glass it up nice! I will test a small area on the inner lid above the cpu PSU and see

would you suggest the 3M Perfect It II rubbing compound, or the 3M Imperial Hand Glaze?

have you used both/either?

Haven't personally used 3M of either, but at the shops I worked out we used the hand Glaze not the Rubbing compound. I'm just assuming that the rubbing compound would have a bit more grit to shine up a sanded part or an old part. The hand glaze is for new(er) finishes and doesn't have any grit, its not used to sand or buff, its to fill in (scratches or swirls) and shine, like a wax.

That said, I'd try the hand glaze.
