Well I'm subscribed!
By the way, are you going to go water cooling? If not, you may want to reconsider the fans up top. What's going to happen is that most of the air that comes in from the intake fan is just going to be exhausted straight out the top there, kind of eliminating the whole purpose of installing them in the first place. But if you are going WC and are putting a rad there, thats another story. What may also work better is using the bottom fans you are going to install as exhausts while leaving the rest the same. But that won't change your mod any, and you can always test temps later.

Yeah, I'm really not sure which fans I want to be used as exhausts, and which to be used as intakes. Any help would be appreciated.

At the moment I have the front 120mm as intake, the back top 120mm as exhaust.
You could make the fan on the cross bar an intake then the warm air rises and if you can fit a fan directly above the cpu, do that as an exhaust? Will hopefully help to get rid of the heat from both the gpu, cpu and psu.

Hmm, new idea, how about I put the bottom 2 as exhaust. and the front 4 as intake...?
__________________Cross bar will be intake, and so will CPU. Having the CPU fan as exhaust wouldn't really help, seeing as my CPU HSF will push air towards the back exhaust...

There's a problem with that I think. Consider the clearence from the ground that the bottom 2 would have, would it be enough to enable the hot air to be pushed out easily?
Also, wouldn't you just be pushing cold air out that's brought in from the bottom right air intake? I'd stick to what your diagrams say, have the 2 bottoms and the bottom right (on the front of the computer) as intakes, then the cold air will get to the GPU aswell. Maybe have a fan just past the hard drive bay that will route cold air up? The top fans I'd say should be exhaust fans because we all know heat rises and that's the place where there is going to be the most heat due to the CPU and PSU. Are you going to be putting any air intakes in the 5" drive bays? They would probably help the CPU cool down but the problem then is, where would your DVD drive go...where would the fan controller go that I hope your getting :P. Good luck

I'm getting a 3.5" fan controller, and optical drive will be bottom drive. Top 3 will be modded to fit a 120mm fan.

Just a word of warning.
When I got my fan controller, I tried to use a fan cable splitter but the fans ran slower. You may want to give each fan it's own channel so get a fan controller (or 2) that has enough for all the fans in your case. Or simply use the fan headers on the motherboard (however many you have I dont know but be aware I don't think you can control every single one through speedfan) I'm really interested to see how this turns out because if I don't buy a new antec 900 or a thermaltake armor over the summer I'm going to be modding mine in a similar way to yours. Sub'd ![]() Good luck

I'm only planning on having the fan controllers wired to the noisy fans, which will be my CPU HSF fan, and probably my main exhaust fan on the back...

Your plan indicates a 'hole' above the PSU. Please elaborate on this. Will there be an intake fan and PSU flipped over?

Yeah, the PSU will be flipped so the PSU can get fresh air.
