I'm making some minor modifications to my gorgeous black steel 4U rackmount case.
Here it is on Newegg, where I bought it. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811219002 First on the list is to get rid of these nasty strips of metal obstucting my 2x 120mm intake fans. These are located in part of the frame that both the HD bay and external drive bays bolt to. ![]() ![]() Next I'm going to figure out the best way to use that extra steel for mounting brackets in the exhaust mod.

The bracket re-installed in the case. As you can see, the fans are 2/3 of the way inside the case, and blow directly on the MB.

i have two of these:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16811182566 and i got fed up with the two 80mm exhaust fans, so i did a mod where i cut two spots on the top panel for two 120mm Fans. the one close to the CPU i put as an intake, and one near the graphics card i put as exhaust. the two 80mm fans are still there as exhaust, but i have them all running at low speeds, for noise reasons.

Woohoo !! Got my new MB yesterday, spent most of the night dealing with cable management and Memory + Cooler + External bay issues, all solved by ditching my old CD RW and using the bay for extra power cables, which made room for the RAM, in turn making room for the Cooler.
__________________The fans turned out to be pretty solid with just the top screws, so I skipped building bottom brackets, just another thing to possibly rattle. I'll post some pics later when I get home. I've considered putting more exhaust on the top, but I've heard that can hurt a Zalman's performance to disrupt the front to back flow.
