From what I understand the power supplies are just Topower rebrands, and as such are of fairly quite literally crap quality ... I looked online and others have had the same problem with a lack of sufficient amps to the 12V rails after the first boot.

Good to hear you found a painter that didn't back out on you!

Most paint cures FULLY in a few weeks, but you don't have to have it that cured. (Even when a body shop gives a customer back a car, its just been cured in the paint booth a/b a day, to get it mostly cured. But it will continue to cure for around a month, but you won't know it)

As long as you have ample 'flash time' between coats (the last coat is finger dry before you put another coat on) you're good. Then I give about 1 day before I really handle the parts, etc.

And a/b your friends, everyone that see's my case is like "Wow, thats a awesome case, where'd you buy it?" Its really satisfying when I tell em "I made it" and their always like "Oh sh** for real, WOW!" Lol

With all due respect, I completely disagree with your statement.

I have never had to derivet any of my systems and the paint comes out nearly flawless. Just take your time and try to be consistent with the spraying and sanding and you don't need to disassemble the chassis. I have two recent Antec 900 systems in my sig where I painted the interiors and they came out exactly as I wanted them.

Khoiwin - your system is looking great! Keep it up!

Thanks RNG, I drew some inspiration from your setup. I am considering a similar window cut, without the reflective ACRyan panel though.

I'm thinking of getting a white/red tinted acrylic panel and then doing a custom stencil of a koi fish with red, white, grey accents on the rear door of the case. And then matching white CCFLs on the interior to get some glow.

EDIT: I just thought of something that could be cool, cutting the side panel to mount a Big Boy 200mm in it.

That sounds cool - AND unique! I'm looking forward to watching your progress!

Just a thought...consider that 200mm fan mounted to a thin side panel...I'm thinking some reinforcement may be necessary. I'm not for certain, since I don't know how much stress/strain a large fan would exert, compared to a 120mm fan. I do like the idea, and am curious about the stability/integrity.

Yeah, I think a 200mm mounted onto the side would help out with a quieter box and temps too.

A small update (because AoC is down for maintenance).

My power supply RMA is here, and my RMA for my cans is coming next week yaya. I have finally ordered from a certain cold website that freezes processors some new SATA cables, and some hard drive mounts. The new setup should look pretty slick!

Until then ... currently I have to present ...

Side thoughts:
- Wow, this PSU is a lot louder than I remembered
- Wow, did I mention how loud it is?
- Getting the back door wedged on can be troublesome
