Yeah I believe it is, but thats not where I took the name from. To be honest, I actually got the name from a Final Fantasy X character, as I was obsessed with FFX at the time.

Anyways, since I am here, I have a pic to post of some recent developments.



The front is black now, but I messed it up while applying the clearcoat and had to redo a partial painting after sanding away the mishap :s

Either way, im not the greatest with spraypaint but I think it turned out ok.

Just a quick update. The front is mostly fixed, gonna go check it out later or after work maybe. Been slow with updates last few days because I have been pretty sick as of late. In the meantime, since I wasnt able to do much on this project, I have another project you could take a look at. Its already completed, but its worth a gander :P

I was feeling better today and did some work on this, mostly bondo-work, and sanding, but also a bit of grinding and smoothing.

Here is a pic of the sides before:



And a pic of them now (with one coat of primer)



As of this post, they are already both painted black, the window panel on its second coat, and the closed panel on its first coat of black.

The front panel with the iDuct (lovin it :P) just received its clearcoat.. again. If nothing goes wrong this time, its considered done.

I have some parts on the way for this case... should be here in 2-3 weeks, so I have loads of time left to finish this and fine-tune certain things. The cpu cooler I purchased from GoneTomorrow, and its pictured below.



That has to be better than a stock AMD cooler. Also got a red CCFL on the way, to brighten things up. HOPING to start minor chassis assembly tomorow. Still have to clearcoat the USB panel but thats no biggie. Wont take long

Yet another update!

Ok so I got a truckload of work done in the small timeframe I had today. First off, I manage to seat the 120mm fan in the top, and outline where I need to make my cuts.



Then I actually made the cuts and installed the fan (backwards in the pic, I fixed it after)



And the top, as will be seen from exterior case view



I also got the USB 'drive' done. Yeah there is a scuff near one of the screws, while I was screwing the USBs in my hand slipped.. Oops, oh well, ive had enough repainting it. Its not as bad as it looks, cameras just have a habit of showing all the bad spots.



Other work completed which I dont have pics of (yet)

• 2 coats of black and 2 coats of clear on 'window' panel
• 2 coats of black on exterior closed panel
• 1 coat of black on interior window panel
• Clearcoat (small) mishap on iDuct panel, 2 coats of black to cover up on partial panel
• Had a pop

Ok, its actually starting to look like a computer again!

Although im not certain everything is done yet, this is the general shape of it.



And a close-up of the top/front. Ignore the blemishes, its just due to high exposure from the cam. There is one small scratch near the USB ports, which I am going to be very reluctant to fix at this point, but might do it later on.



I dont know how I did it, but the window



Barely had any room to work with this one, cut the viewing area too large so that when the acrylic was mounted in, the panel wouldnt slide on anymore. Had to modify the mounting mechanism slightly.

This shows the cuts pretty clear, I should have made a test-cut before making the actual cut, but oh well, at least it doesnt look that bad in person :P

The bottom line is the first cut, after that the side and top cuts were made and I think they turned out pretty well. Again a small scratch, which WILL be fixed later, just wanted to snap a pic for now!

Man that thing sure is dented

The bezel looks great, that intake is just killer! Glad to see it coming together. And fwiw, I've made that same mistake on windows on my first mod (cutting it too large), so don't feel bad,lol.
