By the way, don't ever get grey primer. It's impossible to tell where you've primed and where you haven't.

good work. the way you did the cut was fine. the only difference would be way less filing if you make two holes then use a dremel to straight-cut between them. connecting the dots I call it then you only need to file to de-burr.

keep up the good work, your painting looks clean as well

Thanks. The hdd cage is finished. It's amazing how well it turned out! Pictures will be up as soon as the final coat is in my case.

Dangit! Now I'm getting angry. I just tried putting my hdd cage in my case and it scraped some paint off both the case and the hdd cage. Did I not wait long enough for everything to dry? I was getting a bit impatient I guess. Also, I was running low on paint and didn't warm it up the last couple times, which lead to the paint becoming more rough on my case. I'm really angry at myself now. I'm wishing I had just cut the hole and not painted everything...

EDIT: I'm such an idiot. I could beat myself right now. The can says to wait at least 4 to 36 hours for each coat of paint to try. I did all the coats today. I feel like I've ruined the case now...
