This looks like it would have been fun to build! I like all of the fabrication you did. and Bigger is better! Love it.

Thank you to everyone that has commented so far. I appreciate your support.

@ Bill Owen: I'm flattered that you'd comment in this thread - your mods are legendary.

It was fun, quite a bit actually until the deadline was right around the corner.I'm a perfectionist so it usually takes a while to finish projects. I really felt rushed during the last part of the fabrication. Unfortunately, I don't think the pics do the final product justice.

Regardless, I enjoy having this monster on my desk. And I couldn't agree more, bigger is better.

Coming from someone with this much experience, that is a compliment indeed. Thank you to you and your uncle.

why thank you kindly tr8rjohnk

I actually did a report on the "origins of the PC" back in 7th grade because we had to do a report on something of personal interest (and at least from the articles I found, "good 'ol bill" stole the concept from steve and ran with it)... this is the ONLY reason I have [a little] respect for macs

fcky529: Thanks for the info. I've seen that apple pic before, crazy, isn't it?

EDIT: Asthetically speaking, wood was big in the '70's. From paneling in your home to automotive components. Imho, wood doesn't get the credit it deserves. Each species has its own properties, whether you look at density, toolability, figure or any other specific, they're all unique.
