Day 1

hey guys! this is my first build in almost.. 8 years.. but this IS my first time watercooling. so help me if you can! it would be much appreciated! so! i just got back from CA cause of summer. CA is home but i have summer school so i'm back in ROC, but now that i'm back, i have around a week to get as much of it done as possible. hopefully i'll be able to get this done.

so here we go, right after getting back, i had packages from Petra's, Sidewinders:

then went straight to frozencpu and picked up my new Lian-Li V1200. as you can see!

on the same day, i also get stuff from ace hardware. those that you see are wire clips so it'll be all nice and organized

today, i got stuff from jab-tech! woot! so off we go with showing off the hardware :P

since i already havve one of my pumps... i install it with the xspc res-top. before

after!

and here is the GTX360 with dtek high flows. its a beauty. i can't wait to get everything done!

and here is the v1200.. i actually got so excited that i forgot to take pictures of it before took it apart.... do fogive me. XD well, this is the best i could get out of it since tearing it up. tehe

and here is the bottom taped and ready.

now with the template. i had actually tested this on my work bench.. so i drilled holes into my work bench to test if this worked. and it does. though i'm sure there are some others who have better templates than mine.

and here it is after... so apparently my drill bit and run off, and i needed to compensate for that, you can't really see it but... the fan screw holes are all over the place for some. like.. 4 i think... but this is my first time.. and thankfully, the screw head cover up my mistakes! hehe.. but it works great. i've already test fitted the gtx so woot!

and the two holes that you see there are for the tubings.

and thats all i got so far. i'll continue as the week goes on! so... we'll be back with another episode!

edit: i hate that its case sensitive... my pictures were .JPG on my computer but online its .jpg... and it wasn't registering cause of that.. gah! anyone know how to fix that?

edit2: and no this is not my sig rig.

Rustler, looks like your worklog creator is a real charmer!

OP - Those v1200s really are some gorgeous cases. Your work is looking great so far!

Do you plan on painting it at all?

WOW nice work!

I have a suggestion though: Where you mount your RAD onto the case, I would remove the center lines (the outline of the fan) as this creates deadspots. Removing the center pieces can help with more airflow - especially if you use a shroud
