Hey all, Well i decided to go ahead and post my case mod that i just started with my Xbox 360. I will be cutting and painting the case. I will keep you guys updated as I go through this process. I am in a rush so I am short on time so I will take lots of pics and post them as i go ...I'm trying to make this a 3 day process so bare with me...

Project Inspiration:

Day 1:
Template for Cut and Paint:

^ This is just a template of what the actual case is going to look like when i am done. The black part is the part that is going to be cut out. The blue blurry lines are where the 2xBlue 4in CCL will be placed..Still debating blue or white lights.
Here is the paing i am going to use

^It's a metallic speck blue.

..Ok so I cut already and started sanding and even primered the faceplate.
Will update with pics in a few minutes...gotta get the money shots

P.S.: I need help from you guys before I put the final coat of clear gloss I want to put a design on the otherside of the 360(side without window)...I've had the idea about putting the OCN applique and then putting the gloss coat over it , but i don't have one so if anyone has an idea of some cool artwork LMK please.

P.S., This Case Will Go On Sale As Soon As The Project Has Been Completed

That paint is nice but not very shiny, just so you know. And yes you can clear it. Personally I like it's satin smoothness. Good luck on this, I will be watching.

Faceplate : It has already been sanded and primered I need to sand it down again tommorow

Case:This side has already been sanded down , I cut the holes out but i stopped so i could take a pic

i've been wanting to do something like this for a long time. if this turns out well for you i will probably do the same. please post a lot of pics. i'm curious about the process.

btw. does anybody know how i could make a little window in the dvd player?
i would love to see my dvd`s spinning

and where do they solder the ccfl`s to?

under the sticker on the dvd drive theres a hole. Just put a glass there and something to keep the cd in check.

You cant see the whole cd though so what I did was disassemble the whole top part

I finished sanding down the back side of the case and started primering. I'm s

Primered and ready to go:

Sanded the faceplate with a 1000Grit .( It was already primered):

Then I Found my self doing this.....

First coat: ( Light coat)

Second coat Medium Coat)

Third Coat: (Wet Coat)

I still Have to clear coat it, but as of now this thing looks cool
