Default [Project] The Templar

Background:
So Im quite obsessed with the Knights Templar and Medieval history in general, and Im going to incopperate some small modular things to do with history, but the main project will be the simple cable manage, paint, getting some new lighting, and the most exciting part... WATER COOLING. Im also going to do some acrylic etching pieces. The idea for the etching is based on my LAN groups Dawn of War tournament coming up. Im making small acrylic trophies, so I will make a little mount so that I can place my trophy and display it in the case... and if I dont win anything Im making a little Templar piece to go in instead. So let me break everything down for you guys.

The Current Setup:

Mods:
Cable Managment (Complete)
Black Interior Paint Job (Complete)
Cable Sleeving (Was Complete - Need to do to new PSU)
Red Lighting (Complete)
Acrylic Trophy Stand (Doubtful for completion)
Water Cooling (Complete)

Parts:
Ill be using my Sig Rig for the components all housed in an Antec 900. As for watercooling here is my shopping list...

D-tek Fuzion V2

Swiftech MCP655™ 12 VDC Pump

Swiftech MCR320-QP-K Triple 120mm Radiator

Black Ice Xtreme II

PrimoFlex Pro LRT Black Tubing - 1/2in. ID X 3/4in. OD

YATE LOON 120mm Case Fan - D12SH-12 - High Speed

120mm Yate Loon D12SL-12 Red LED Case Fan - Clear (47 CFM, 28 dBA)

Water Fall Resivour from CyberDruid

The cable managment is done, will post pics as soon as possible. Hoping to order my WC parts tonight, along with the lights, cable sleeving, ext... And hoping to get the paint job done this weekend. Any and ALL ideas for some more stuff I can do is welcome.

You can see the radiator up there behind my triple fan front

A nice side picture without my side

Some final overall pictures

I used 2 CCFL's on the top to make it look like a LED fan, and from a normal position it looks really nice

I know for the most part it is a simple cookie cutter mod, but im gonna try something unique in my trophy rack/stand for the case. Im trying to think of what else I could do. Cleaning my PSU is another thing, but thats not really a mod.

Update- Im painting the case this weekend, pics soon to follow that. I was unable to order parts last night as my credit card still hasnt come in the mail. Crossing my fingers for tonight.

This has also inspired me for what I want in my next case (which may be with you cd )... Thinking of doing my family's crest next to my mobo. But this case comes first. Working on doing some sketches on the only thing I hav avalible to me at work... PAINT! Ill get those up when I am happy with my design.

Default Planning

So here are some sketches I made out at work on Paint, so bear with me.

The entire cases inards will be painted black, but here are the mod plans.

1- A custom Fan Gaurd made from acrylic. The opening wont be a circle, instead I will cut the Templar Cross out. It is an easy open design... now just to find a dremel...
2- Another custom Fan Gaurd, and again you guessed it, the Templar Cross. Im going to try and get some black acrylic for this one so that it goes along with the black paint.
3- This is where my current "trophy rack" is going to be housed. It will lean from the window side of the case back to the mobo tray, still working on logisitcs for it, wana get some testing in on placement before anything is final.

Of course painting and wire managment (Oh, yea already did that, Ill get picks up as soon as I can) along with some nice black cable sleeving.

Any other ideas?

I found a nice Fan Grille I may purchase instead of a custom Acrylic one. Only downside of buying this (other than it being $16) is that it is a Maltesse Cross and not an actual Templar Cross... and though they are so very VERY similar, they have 1 slight difference, but it is easy to get one and not have to work about what mine looks like.
