Default [Project] Cold Blooded

Hey everybody, this is my first venture into case modding, unless you count replacing a broken fan, however this is not my first time building a computer.

Plan:To paint my new antec 900 and move my sig rig into before i go back to college in the beginning of september. Other mods to follow if i have time.

Supplies: http://www.amazon.com/Duplicolor-Mirage-Color-Blue-MP403/dp/B00076PVBK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=automotive&qid=1217991113&sr=8-1
AEROCOOL FP-01 fan controller/card reader
riveter
rivets
electric drill to remove factory rivets
others if needed

My birthday isnt till thursday but i feel like it came early this year cause my antec 900 arrived today (ordered it sunday night and selected regular ups ground, newegg rocks)

so i immediatly took it out of the box and it is beautiful

then started the disassembly process

im not working this summer so updated should come fairly regular, hopefully everyday. tommorow i am going to drill out the rivets and go to home depot to pick up the riveter and rivets. paint is supposed to arrive either later this week or next week sometime and hopefully by then it will be all sanded and ready to be painted. if anyone has any suggestions on additional mods that dont cost a lot of money please lemme know

lastly for today id like to thank some people. id like to thank my parents for paying for all the equipment. thank you to The_Rocker for coming up with the name Cold Blooded for me. and thank you to wildfire99 for helping me figuring out how to disassemble the thing completly and thank you in advance for any extra questions i may have in the future

ok so apparently no one except wildfire is interested in my little project lol, thats ok ill continue on anyways. this is my first update. i happened to be near a lowe's today so i picked up a riveter and some short aluminum rivets for a total of about $23. when i got home i got to work on deriveting and after bout an hour or so i got the case completly disassembled

next step sanding, unless some people come out and tell me that its unnecessary since the base coat is black. and if it is necessary what grit should i use?

Just scuff it up and get some grease and wax remover to wipe it down with..

ive been search google images for a good picture of a snake or lizard that i can use as a stencil to paint on the side of the case, it will kinda be my cold blooded logo. if anyone can find a good picture that would work or better yet can make me a design it would be greatly appreciated

i found a design but it was really small so i blew it up, cut it out and put it on the side of the case and i think it looks pretty sweet, what do u guys think?

it hangs over by a lil but ill just reprint it and blow it up by a few percentage points less

Looks like a pretty sweet logo. I think it'll be awesome when you get it to fit.
