Dude i got a question.. the filter thing is an incredible idea i plan to do that since im sick of constantly cleaning my pc and i was gonna buy some filters online but your way seems a good idea, does it restrict airflow? What are your temps? Do they really block every particle that comes through? Do you use the filters on the fan too? Got pics for those? Just wondered..

Lambent:

I noticed that you recommended not sanding a colorcoat before applying the clearcoat in your painting tutorial. Yet you ended up wet-sanding your colorcoat on your Antec. What gives? I'm in the process of painting my case, and while the finish looks great so far, I would love to achieve that mirror finish. I'm using a metallic blue paint. I've read elsewhere that it is generally recommended to not sand metallic paints. What did you do to your Antec after you wet-sanded the orange peel out? Did you use the rubbing compound and then apply the clear coat?

In fact I did not sand the color coat, I applied the clear coat a half hour after I applied the base color coat and what you see is the sanding of the clear coat. You never sand the base color coat if you are going to put a clear coat on. The wet sanding is the sanding of the clear coat to make it smooth and the rubbing compound is to take the sanding scratches out from the wet sanding of the clear coat and polish the surface back to its luster.

The clear coat went on last and then after 48 hours of drying I wet sanded it then I used rubbing compound to bring back the shine and then I used polishing compound (Finnese it) to polish out the swirl marks and then used new paint safe(wax -silicone free) polish to make it mirror like.
