gah! i've run into the same problem as CD. the powersupply isn't facing the direction i want. the fan that is. might hav to ask CD to create PSU panel like the one made for his current log.

that and i've run into space limitations already. i have no idea how i'm going to fit everything in. i might have to put two of the four pumps into the bottom section.

this is the scythe kazemaster front panel ontop of a lian li bay panel.
taped and ready to outline then cut.

here is the finished cut w/ acrylic window

and another shot of it with the acrylic showing. now i'm just waiting on some screws so i can connect the controller to it to see if it will work like i want it to.

Day 7

so i went to frozencpu and picked up lots of stuff. i got around 12 rubber gaskets for shrouds since feser is stupid and made it so you can't use it side by side.

picked up 100ft of 1/4" black sleeving

100 ft of 1/8" black sleeving.

30 ft of 1/8" black heatshrink

30 ft of 1/4" black heatshrink

haha.. yea.. most of the sleeving that i picked up for valkyrie has been used up.. well 1/8" anyway.. but the 1/4", i still have an ok amount of. i know i won't be needing to pick up any more sleeving and heatshrink for a long long time.

here is a shot of how i think i'll be arranging 2 of the 4 pumps... the last two will be in the lower compartment sitting on top of the fans. using the UN Z-bracket with pump stands.

in all honesty, i haven't gotten far at all with this build... hopefully it'll start picking up once i get the rad grilles so i know where i need to start cutting.

until next time my brethern!

nafljhy,

You figure out what your going to do with the powder coating? You going to have it assembled and then painted? or broken down? I'll be getting my rocketfish done, possibly, so I have the same question on my mind! Let me know, thanks!

This is one huge mod. I love the idea of putting both rads at the bottom

thank you but i'm not that great.. i got the powersupply extension at performance-pcs, but they also have them at sidewinders now. only difference between the two is that p-pcs has more variety of the LED colors while sidewinders only has blue.

yea, i did.. its broken down to get powdercoated. that big square of a chassis is going to be powdered midnight blue. and anything that goes inside is being powdered white. and some little bits are going to be powdered black but not too sure if you'll be able to tell the blue and black apart. we'll see when it gets done
