Default [Complete] Simple Window ( w/ Tint)

I just got back from the store and I picked up a piece of clear acyclic. Within the next few hours, I'm going to be cutting my window for my Lian Li A05B. Should I go with a basic square shaped window or should I do something different?

I am fond of square windows with rounded corners, but thats just me.
A simple way to achieve the effect is use a decent size hole saw in the 4 corners, then connect the cuts with straight cuts using a dremel or a jigsaw.

the link below is this exact technique I used during the Gumdrop project

Unfortunately, I do not have access to a hole saw, but I got a dremel & a jigsaw. I'm just going to need to find a good circle to trace to get a nice even rounded corner.

yep then your best bet to turn the corners is a jigsaw
the straights can be done with the jig too, or the dremel if you prefer
im not a fan of doing rounded line cuts with a dremel, I think they look cheezy, but thats mho

good luck mate

Square or rectangular would most likely look the most balanced.

You could ease the corners by rounding them so that the match the contours of your case.

Also, giving the edge a slight bevel is a nice attention-to-detail touch, but then you might want to polish out the sanded edge... or leave it "frosted" (takes about 1000 grit to get a uniform finish).

If you click on "the sellout - worklog" in my sig and go to the final page, you can see some of the cuts I acheived with a dremel. The mesh looks like ****, I have to re-mount the mesh to clean it up. All in due time. My advice is to practice cutting in the middle of the side panel, so that when it is time to cut the actual lines, you are good and comfortable with your tools. Good Luck!!!

I would suggest using a c.d. as the template for the rounded edges. Most of the cuts I make are with my jigsaw, and anything with a tighter radius than that (the c.d.) is hard to make with the jigsaw.

I agree. A nice large window with rounded corners usually looks the best. i am not too fond of shapes and lines getting in the way of all that lovely hardware.

I wonder if you could get one-way tint so that when klights are off inside, it is a mirror, but when you turn the lights on sindide the PC, it becomes transparent?

Nice so far. I am always wary about cutting, lol.
