As far as a hard drive, notebook drives would probably work. SSDs would be better because they dissipate less heat but this doesn't look like an "unlimited budget" build.

Lol, can get the OCZ ones for 99, 32x2, if it's just a media center then it would be just fine.

Well, my experience is that a PicoPSU 120 can power a Quad + HD3870 even under load, so I don't know who's been feeding you that info. Also, you say you're getting a 120W AC/DC converter...you realize your maximum power is going to be limited right there, so that your 200W DC-DC unit is never going to even be able to output more than 120W DC.

sorry the other guy was on 100W my bad, couldnt find a cheap ac-dc for above 120W :P Quote:
http://www.bit-tech.net/hardware/200...00-mini-itx/10 see link for diff power consumptions situations and how is 200W overkill? as u say it will only use what it needs and its just as small and even cheaper than alot of the others

As for a cheap AC/DC, I bought a Dell Y2515, it's a 220W 12V DC power brick, though I don't know if it would work outside the US, or if you can even find it.
