I sanded everything down before the glue in hopes to increase adhesive. in the end it's just an extra precaution so that I don't mess up the bondo, better than nothing! I don't plan on standing on it or anything :P
![]() Anyways, I had edited the mock up of the rig the other day, but forgot all about it till I found the thumbdrive in my pocket. Disregard the flat black/gloss black contrast I had made with te secondary/primary colors, it was just another idea but I've dismissed it. ![]() This is an idea of a design that will go on the side panel, the other one without the window. I'm leaning away from stripes and more towards something original. What I would do is make the stencil, spray, paint the inside heavily, and then let it drip. I also wish to put something on the top, but I'll figure that sometime soon. Again, the green color is not set, it's going to be the secondary color - whatever that winds up being.

Make the green really really dark (almost non-noticeable) and maybe metallic - if you can find a color like that. Midnight green or something..?
IMO that would be quite awesome

Hmm, it's an idea, but I'm concerned if I do that, the designs won't stick out on the top and side..

Consider this: very heavily tinted black acrylic where the letters are. When the computer is off, it should be indistinguishable, or nearly so, from the case around the logo. When you turn the computer on: BAM! A eerie green glow emanates through the acrylic. Since it is a very dark acrylic (in this idea) the green CCFL will just give a hinting of green to it and not make it such that you can see any wire management going on back there.

That's actually a really great idea blitz. Whether it's probable or not considering the location, I don't know, but it's something to consider.

or you could use a super dark green as mentioned previously, but instead of metallic, use a lot...and I do mean a LOT of pearl so that as soon as light hits it, you get the desired effect.

I'm just killing it with bondo and sanding.I don't want the paint job to turn out sub-par and I'm not a huge fan of it's current look. Thanks
