Here is a shroud for the 480 GTX made out of holes drilled through a 1/4" plate of smoked arylic.
![]() All the fans mounted on to the radiator. A total of 8x Scythe S-Flex E fans amounting to a total of $104... ouch! ![]() ![]() Since it has always been a pain in the ass to mount the radiator to the top panel by myself, I figured out a much more stable and smarter way to do this. With some 15mm M4 bolts with an M3 socket head, I fastened the fans directly to the radiator first. The top of part of the fans is still open, but even better, the fans are secure on the radiator and will not move while I mount it to the top panel! Check out the pic!

Thanks! I use to do sleeving with a lighter... man was that a *****!
Ever since I invested in a quality heat gun, it has been so much easier. Drill presses are awesome for drilling holes into acrylic!

How do I daisy chain with a 3-pin head? Did you mean modding it so that they are all connected to one 3-pin head or what?

Yer mod it to just one 3 pin. you just cut off the yellow wires completely except on the one that will have the header on it then you just solder together all the red wires and then all the black ones and then you can run them all off of one header if you want a better explanation i can get a pic
i would do them in 2 lots though 3 fans on each. this way you can make it a lot cleaner inside your case by having a lot less cables ![]() Josh |
