I dunno, it would make sense to have it blue or purple/UV so that it would match the fluid. or perhaps white to make it stand out more.

so i kept fiddling with my loop and it finally started to bug the crap out of me that i had to use a tool to get to my loop stupid hex L tool with the stock stopper. i decided to do somethin else to make it easier as thats the point of a techstation so you can fiddle and play around with your hardware with ease.

here is a picture of the hex L tool and stopper.

here is a BP female transfer for G1/4" and a BP male to male G1/4" transfer. i'm sure you can tell where i'm going with this.

screw the two together and you have half of it done already. then i took a spare BP hand twisting stopper and put that to the other end and screwed that to my fill port.

and voila! now i have an easy acces toolless fill port. yea, it might not look the greatest but thats not the point.

the next update will have the LED ports installed and from there i'll test out different color LEDs based on the polls and we can do a recount or what not since we'd have actual pictures of how it looks. that and i need to figure out where to put a switch...

another quick update.

here is a switch i made for the LEDs that will be going in. the LEDs will have the resistors soldered in line and that will make it easier to use anywhere else too.

here is an adapter for other components because i'm make my own LEDs, i'm using the male molex cover with female pins... and usually things come with female molex cover with male pins... and this is what that is for. quite convenient. plus if i ever need to, i can just switch the pin area for 5v instead of 12v

i've already tested it out using CCFLs and it works great. woot!
now i should just sleeve the suckers and i'll be happy.

edit: and here they are sleeved. looks great compared to the bare wires huh?

i don't have the tools for the hole right now so i'll have wait until next weekend to do it. i should also have some LEDs made by then too.

gah.. so.. i redid my loop so i could take it apart easier... but it just happens that i get way too much foam now by having the inlet and outlet on the same side.. -__- grr... and it looks better like this too. really bugs me that i can't get out all the air..

so here are the small bubbles/foam i was talking about.. i checked temps on idle and load and it isn't affecting it so i'm not too worried any more.

here is how the new loop looks on the cpu block.

on the tribaloverkill res

and a full shot of the thing. you can really tell how much easier it is to deal with the block now than compared to before. anything with the loop i can just take apart and pull toward me and everything else is free to do what i need to do.

ah yes! i got my slab of brass from mcmasters! and i've already outlined 10 midplates for cutting. the outlines in the interior aren't going to be cut persay but i'll have different designs done with it to see which will have the best performance. once i figure that out. i think i might make some extra plates to sell. we'll see how that goes.

oh! and i've noticed that UV has suddenly taken the lead. need to buy some UV LEDs now so i can test how it will look.

edit: and because i don't want gir having nightmares, i went back and ziptied the new tubing.. (i was going to just leave it cause its 7/16" ID on 1/2"barbs.. , but i already have the others ziptied... might as well.)
