What exactly are you planning for the new enzo plates?

an example would be a jet plate and redo the locations of some of the holes, but to be honest, i'll be using half of them as test subjects to different designs. i know it'll increase restriction, but hopefully it'll make it perform better temp wise.

edit: a quick update on the res. all the foam/bubbles have disappeared! yay! but now you can't see the movement of the water

so i finally got the switch installed.. and holy hell was it a pain in my arse. so i first drilled it out with a 1/2" drill... but it was too small... got my ass to homedepot and got myself... 5/8" and 3/4" drill bits, but little did i know that they were made for something else.. so it made a huge freaking mess...drilled again with the 5/8"... guess what? didn't fit still.. so used the 3/4" and it fits perfectly fine but a little too tight so when switching it on and off.. gotta use some force..

so here is a pic of it installed w/o mobo

with mobo

the underside where the wires are.

the LEDs that i made today with white LEDs

the connection of the switch from psu to switch to leds

and this is what you've been waiting for!

here is a full length shot of it in the dark.

another full length shot

the top half

and bottom half.

i really like how its two toned! i would've done UV LEDs today too but i don't have any at the moment but i've ordered it and just waiting for them to come in. though i must say that these pictures don't do it justice as its much brighter in person and my camera sucks.

oh, i've also started on the midplates.. but i can't get a good cut on these to get them to the right size.. so i gotta figure that out first before i can get anywhere.

I know it sounds crazy, but I have an idea.

Are CCFL's waterproof? You could take a white CCFL and put it right in the middle of the res so it illuminates all the liquid equally

ever wonder what an enzotech sapphire looks like without that plastic cover and with an acrylic holder? here is your chance!

hehe, so i fabbed up an acrylic holder for this sucker. i went through 4 different sheets to get this right.. first time the acrylic was too thick and after that.. the inside opening was too big so i had to redo from scratch.

BUT! i finally got it done! and i must say it looks freaking beautiful. the enzotech, i've lightly sanded with 400 and 1000 grit.

so here is a pci of it from a random angle.

a top view of it. and you can see one of my midplates in there.. it has a jet inlet.. that midplate isn't finished yet... but i do know the restriction at the moment is just ridiculously high.

another pic

and a side shot.

this is going to be my tester for my midplates so yeap! its one sexy looking block that should be displayed out in the open.

thanks CL3P20! testing it as we speak!

edit: so my half done midplate at the moment performs on par with the standard midplate that comes with it... interesting!

but its sooo restrictive that it feels like there is no water moving in the loop!!

That's not soo good..but I am sure you will improve your design some. Do you have multiple holes in the plate now..or are you using slots?
