slight update.

i got the enzotech luna.... it looks a bit ridiculous... BUT i want to do a comparison against the sapphire...

here is the top with the LED top still there..

here is the top holder/bracket..

this in the top internal.

this is thi midplate... all i can say is... if i play on making midplates for this block... it's going to be even more of a PITA than the sapphire

here is the base plate internal... i swear those are the smallest pins i've ever seen... and really short too... hopefully it'll be a good performer.

and this is the LED top taken apart...

on to new subjects... i got CF vinyl and i redid my duorbs.. all 5 of them... they look much better now..

here is a quick shot of one of the fans...

and here is a picture of the two on my techstation... thanks to marin, my valkyrie build has an 8800GT back in there now! woot!

and now a full shot of the techie.

edit: omg, how could i forget night shots!

a quick note about the luna block.. i will NOT be using the LED top and bracket.. i will be fabricating another acrylic holder but this time it will have a thin black acrylic on top. from there, i might stick on some LEDs on the side or what not.

P.S.
what are some good CPU stressers? so i can see how the block performs....

Yeah I like the Sapphire's looks over the Luna too but I'll take a coke can if it performs better .

Your builds are great and it really makes me want to do something

As for stressers . . .. . a quick program is the IntelBurnTest. Do a maximum stress and 10 runs or more. I hit 63C on load using IBT whereas Orthos only makes it hit 49C.

Yes. You can use the memory heatsinks if you have a large cluster of mosfets side by side, but for single row mosfets, use these.

Below is a picture of what a mosfet looks like. Here is the wiki article on them with a better picture of what they look like before they are put on the motherboard.

Sorry for the bad lighting in my pic.

And in the below pic shows the area that the mosfets are in. The two rectangular heatsinks on the side and top of the CPU socket is where you'll find the mosfets.

thanks gir for responding in my place. yea.. mosfets are pretty small. one of those heatsinks could cover 4 at a time if there were placed all next to each other.. and yea... single mosfets, gotta use the actual mosfet sinks.

thanks again guys!

a good question papa smurf. (oh how i miss that show) and the answer is going to be nope, i won't. i'm sure you'll ask why... because its going to be taken apart soon and i'm quite confident in the BP fatboy barbs(1/2") on the 7/16" tubing won't slip... thats how it is in valkyrie. i did it before for gir face's sake. i'm surprised he didn't catch it this time.

A 3Gb run takes less than a minute so 10 runs isn't that long . This is if you want to know if your build is stable. 1 run will make you hit max temps if that is what you want to. Feel the burn lol.
