A little bit of bondo would fix you right up if you need. If it is less critical (as it will be covered by the plastic shell?) I would suggest some simple electrician's tape to prevent a pressure loss.

Well, it is going to get covered by the plastic shell. Main issue from the oversized holesaw is that it didn't really cut a mm more, as you can see it's clearly bigger than 51mm due to the thickness of the bi-metal saw. It'll make it harder to screw the fans in place.
But blitz, I didn't really understand your post ![]()

I did. He means put tape over the pierced holes in the metal frame, that way you can have a positive (Or negative) air pressure without it all leaking out the holes.

HmmmThe fans have quite low CFM, they're just used to move around the hot air, I don't think the work on the side panel would be beneficial. NB idles at 30~32C while the CPU idles at around 27~29C. If I could have placed the 60mm fans I originally had bought, it would be different, those have exponentially higher CFM and slightly lower noise. Thanks coffee + ![]()

I was saying to account for the slightly overbored hole. Just seal up the difference with electician's tape and all is good. Good suggestion on covering the mesh coffeejunky, you made me seem smarter than I intended!

One question, that might ease up my work, if I apply the bondo, is it sturdy enough to drill M4 holes to fix the fans, even if the hole drilled gets -let's say...- half of the steel frame and half of the bondo? Meaning, will the bondo stay there without breaking? Sorry if it seems confusing.

I would fire off a PM to Repo_man. He is OCN's very own bondo deity.
