A sweet combo indeed, slightly higher priced than the Zotac ION with the atom 330, would be roughly the same if not for the 150w AC-DC/DC-DC adapter, although the ION needs the same PSU, I already have a 80W brick+ DC-DC converter. The ION is also 1080p capable

It's very identical to the option I've thought by using the Jetway nForce 8200 with a 45w AMD CPU, but it comes down to exactly the same issue, which is power draw I'd have to forcefully buy that 150w brick and converter since even with a 45w CPU the max power draw would be around 85w.... The main usage for this system is being a file server and torrent downloader, but I also use it as media center occasionally, to be turned on for 24h/day, I need the most economic solution, also environment wise.

Small pre-update! The Ninebreaker is going slightly greener

Ordered one of these buggers:


Zotac IONITX-D-E Packs a Atom 330 and GeForce 9400 chipset for HD playback epicness

...and it's not all...

I also got a couple of these:



WD5000AADS - 500GB with 32Mb cache Caviar Green


....and finally, a laptop optical IDE drive to SATA converter (since this mobo lacks an IDE channel), this way I'll free some space too


I wonder what will I do with my D945GCLF now...

LOL, no I'm not fitting those HDDs in the case, I have an external enclosure. But I will most likely (since the new mobo has 3 SATA connections and an e-sata) get another e-sata backport and plug them in through it and place them in RAID (I hope the back I/O e-sata lets me do RAID as well with the internal ports... probably will since they say I can do Raid 0+1) and I can use the external enclosure to power the HDDs.


And I am in Portugal! I don't know how much they're worth... I'm willing to sell if you're interested Also, if I'm selling the Atom 230 mobo, it will
go with both enzotech NB coolers I own if they don't fit the zotac mobo . They're CNB-S1 and the low profile CNB-S1L.
