Get the evga 6200. Its the cheapest option, should help a little for gaming over onboard. Its low-profile. The jaton is overpriced, you can always overclock the evga to its speeds.

Idk if you're open to ebay.

But i found this 9200 for $35

ATI 9200 $35

I dont know if this would be any better than a 6200, but just a thought.

I had an AGP 9200SE - Not fantastic - the 6200 would probably better (I believe you can unlock the pixel pipelines too)

yeah, but 15 dollars shipping makes it actually more expensive than brand new on newegg.

think i'm just going to go with the evga, but i'm still thinking about it.

Well it is easy to make mistakes sometimes. I make quite a few . When you are replying to many threads at the same time sometimes it is difficult to not get confused.
Still....

oh, it's still on. i'm gonna do some work at my dad's house this weekend (read: he has tools and a workbench, and i've got a countertop and some jewelers screwdrivers) on the system. it's up and running fine - i've tested out streaming video quite a bit, and it seems to run pretty much fine. i have some occasional dropped frames, but they're caused by a poor network connection, not the hardware.

i recently found some old 4-inch green cold cathodes to use for lighting in the case, and bought some electro twister green el wire that's supposed to be for pimping out your normal xbox 360...which means that it's actually a p4 connector passthrough that siphons off some power, saving me another molex plug. it'll do nicely for 'ground effect' lighting, i think.

it's still running me pretty cheap - atom board, 2 gigs ram, 80gig hd, dvd drive, and the few extra cords i needed were about 250-260 dollars. broken xbox was 25 (with five games, which went directly to gamestop for preorder credit for fable 2), random extra cords and lighting came from my cabinets of extra crap that i have acquired, and the solder and stuff like that comes from my dad's workshop.

i had to sell the components to make bills a few months back, so i don't have the mobo/cpu, ram, some of the cords, or psu anymore. next time i have some cash, i'll get back on my horse. it was coming along well, too - i had some serious case modding going on inside the xbox case and everything. i was really tight on room, though - don't expect to fit anything else in there besides the basic components.
