That's really not an issue.

Update

Well I got a good amount of work done on the case this weekend. I finished the painting but I am waiting for it to dry nice and good. The cheese cloth effect didn't work out the way I wanted it to but I worked with it and it came out I would say, like a marble look which I like. Now on to the pics.

And like before, linked to the pics are larger version of them.

Here's me, the man that can't really paint but tried lol and the case behind me.

So to get started, here is the top of the case;

And the fan grill;

And inside the case which after I took the pic I noticed that the bottom of the case looks like it's gray but that is just some dust.

Here is the window side panel;

The full side panel;

And it reflecting the florescent lights in the garage;

These pics were taken shortly after the 4th coat of clear coat. All in all I am happy with it but I didn't get what I expecting to get. I learnt a lot and wish I had an other case to paint lol.

I will be updating with more pics once I get it back together. I might have time to do that tonight or tomorrow but I'm not sure.

Thanks.

I was going to have this done about a week ago but cool weather held me up. Hopefully The homedepot near me has some Acrylic so I can get working on the window soon.

I only had 1 can (out of about 8) that did spot a little. At first I thought it was the cold temps (about 8 C lol) but it was the can. But this was my first time painting.

If I had seen your skull case before I started I would have tried what I did mixed with that cracked stuff that you (which was sweet looking ) used, but I'm happy with it and I would like to think it's original.

If you have a Tap Plastics near you they should have some clear acrylic. Nice work so far.

Update

Painting is done . . . . . . woot. It was funny learning how but it is finally done. So I thought it wouldn't be fair just leaving the little tease pic, so I thought I would post the normal pics now . Like before, the pics are linked to a larger sized pic.

So I made the case out of a marble counter-top . . . . lol, not really but it looks close to a marble

Here is a little bit of a closer look at the windowed side panel.

Here is a close look at the side panel grill on the 900.

If you look close to this one, you can see a bit of what the cheese clothe did for effect. Oh and I did notice that the window is cracked a little at the fitting which was most little because I over tightened it

Same shot but I didn't cover the red protection light well enough. But I guess this would give me the idea of what it would look like with a red tint to it. This kind of gets me thinking

Here you can see the front which I painted white.

Now moving towards the other side panel.

And the back

And now for the cool pic. I wanted to see how well the clear coat worked on my first paint job. Well there was a little pumpkin on the table so I thought, muh lets try to get a reflection shall we. And to my surprise this is what happened.

I think that the clear is reflecting better than the window lol. So let me know what you think. Yes you heard me say this was my first time painting but don't hold back saying something because of that. I work on feedback so that I can improve my skills in anything that I do. Cause we all want to improve in everything we do

Or if anyone has a suggestion of something that would be cool to add to this please post it. I still am working on getting some acrylic to do the side panel over with a full window to rid that stupid grill on that side panel.
