there is all kinds of automotive rubber c channel thingies for lack of their proper name like the one CattleRustler used. I don't know if he used Automotive rubber but it's all pretty similar. have you figured out how to finish prep the side cover once you cut out the new hole?

and just for reference, since its mentioned above, in the Jessie's Gumdrop project I used the c-channel from mnpctech.com for the window. For the blow hole I used a neoprene non marking, rounded over, channel from mcmaster carr (mcmaster.com) (same place Bill gets the one he stocks iirc)

Thanks for the input guys. I'm still working on what I think I would like to do best. I'm just busy looking for a new job and tieing up some loose ends right now but I should be able to get back onto this soon.
Sorry for the wait for my reply guys . . . . . I'm still going to be working on this
