I was looking through my spare parts and actually found a white/silver faceplate. Perfect!

A small update this time.

I removed the 70mm fans and added a Sunbeam Rheobus. The RAM runs a bit warmer until I pick up something for it, probably an Antec Spot Cooler, but I have both Ultra Kaze fans on one channel and both Thunderblades on one channel. The idle temps are the same with fan speeds/noise lowered considerably so normal use is a little more pleasant. I'm considering adding the northbridge fan to the controller also, since with everything else turned down that little 4000rpm screecher kind of stands out now.

I have one side panel finished (side that isn't seen) so no pics of that and the other panel should be finished tomorrow. At that point I will take full around pics. So to any interested, if the rain quits you can expect this mod to finally be completed tomorrow.

Default This should be the last update!!

The final painting is done and finished and the case is completely back together. Now for pics:

Side panel with window painted

Plexiglass added, c-strip added, and my own little personal touch added.

I started out with just the stencil of the letters, then tore the edges a bit. I just wanted to give it a little different look

Everything in and the side panels on

I never pointed out but I also painted the I/O shield white

More shots

The cathode is back now. One thing I did differently was I added it to the fan controller. I love it since now I don't have to reach around the back. It is so much easier and I can also adjust the brightness level a bit too.

So now it is finally complete. Thank you everyone for bearing with me through the winter delays. Overall I am happy with how it turned out. The only thing left to do is get an Antec Spot Cooler.

Thanks. The white doesn't actually sparkle though, I just have a crappy camera. I really wish the lettering would show up better since it looks much nicer in person.

Although it might not be a problem in Texas, just make sure that if you start to paint, it's not right when winter sets in.

Thanks! I'm just happy it's finally finished instead of sitting in pieces on my floor.

Ok, so I'm still tweaking it slightly, but the modding itself is done. I added a new hard drive so I did the power cable mod for that. They aren't perfect, but not too horrible. The only other change I need to make is black 90 degree sata cables.
