Finally had time (and good weather) to work on these. Got all the bondo work finished and I'm priming now, letting the first coat dry while I post this. It was chilly out today but nothing a little extra hardener couldn't solve. :P So on to the pics, since we know that's what you want ! The pics begin about an hour after I started because I forgot my cam and had to borrow my neighbors


This was after a bit of sanding on the first two in the pic and putting a final finish coat of bondo on the last two.

A before/after I suppose. Just going down the line of the hinges on the table. I had not got to the right one yet.





Test fitting the halves together so I knew that the extra width the bondo added to the 'centers' wouldn't interfere with the function. I actually needed to sand a bit off the middle round part, so I'm glad I went with my gut and decided to check these. Everything clears wonderfully now though.





There they are, all finished and getting a last minute test fit again. Let's PRIME!





I wanted to be like CattleRustler and make a cool gizmo paint helper thingy :P This coathanger gave it's life so that Syrillian could have well primed parts. RIP dear friend!





CR would be proud! Ready for primer now!





Bam! That's the first coat. I'll go out later and put at least 2 more solid coats on them and then resand them lightly to see if I missed any pinholes.

Just a thought, but as long as you're going for the "clean" look, have you two thought about chopping off the finial widgets on the ends of the hinges and pins? It looks like (from here) you could take it down to the first detail bit there and lose the pointy part without any structural issues?

(my bad if this has already been discussed)

I haven't thought about that. Really they're finished now though. Although you are right, it could be cut.

I'm glad you like! They now have 5 coats of primer on them and are drying. I had some pinholes I missed during bondo'ing so I went heavy on the primer. I'll give them a sanding tomorrow and assess how the pinholes came out. Depending on how happy I am with that I'll either putty in a small bit of filler in the spots and prime or just plain old reprime them. Then they'll be heading your way bro
