ROFL yeah it is super close!

You should put a burnt out red light hanging out of the front like a popped out eyeball lol

EDIT: yeah I was thinking a flickering dim light would look best...maybe hook it to your HDD so it flickers when you get activity...

that would look sick, maybe fabricate your own deformed/exploded button that still has light eminating from it, or even flickering lol. wire your hdd activity led to the button, instant flicker
Well, originally, I was gonna make my orange CCFLs flicker using a transistor circuit hooked up to the HDD light jumper. (remember my post in case mod general?) I never really considered making a button, just showing stripped wires, but making a melted button shouldn't be so hard....hmm......I wish I knew a little more about electrical stuff.

Ya, I've been looking into getting lights to flicker in the case. Flickering lights are going to add a lot of detail. I even considered getting smoke to appear, but after doing some research, it turned out to be a little more expensive than I wanted to spend.

EDIT: Just got an idea, I'm gonna go to the local hobby shop on Friday and see if they sell the smoke units you find in model trains. They are small and would probably work. Hope they aren't too expensive.

Epic idea sir.

I can't guarantee i'll be succeed, but i'll think for a few and see if I can come up with a clock that you can use that would just give you random flashes. Or at least a series of flashes with different intervals that appear to be random. I think I can do it with LED's.. not sure about CCFL's.

Get back to you in a few hours.

Epic! That would be really awesome! Maybe you could use that button in the back with the companion cube case?

That's so awesome. The blue LEDs need to go away though.

How about putting together a circuit that would make the cathodes blink irregularly?
