I think the rivets on the 900 are aluminum but I am not 100% sure. Also, yeah de-riveting the case is worth it. I just did it to my Antec 300 and it helps if you decide to sand the inside. If you do not sand the inside, clean it out with a rag w/ soap and water and once it is dry use Self-Etching Primer on it. I got some at Kragen auto parts (Dupli-Color) brand.

I meant on my first post. I'll put them up here then.
1. What color is best? I've got the 2 stock blue led lights in the case already and I'm hoping to do the frozen window mod. Would red paint look weird if I had those color leds in the case? What about having either red or blue cathodes? White for the ice?
2. What kind of paint should I buy? Brand? Where should I buy paint?
3. How should I paint (ie. detailed instructions)
4. Where should I buy cold cathode tubes?
5. Should I remove the power and reset switches before painting? (I know it sounds dumb) Can I hotglue them back down after painting? Pics about this are on the 1st post.
6. Do I need to derivet the case for painting? If so what should brand/ model should I use for this? What size are the rivets on this case?
7. Help me determine what the screws on the 1st page are for.
Thanks.

1. I would go blue or white
2. Rustoleum Universal or Krylon or Rustoleum Painter's Touch. Buy at Home Depot or Lowes or Ace Hardware
3. I will let someone else post this as I am about to go to bed
4. Performance PC's, Frozen CPU, NewEgg. Don't get Logisys (they break)
5. You can if you want, otherwise cover the underside of them. I would remove them personally though
6. Most cases have 1/8" rivets, use the same material as they are already (steel, aluminum...) I just got a $12 rivet gun at Ace Hardware, I forgot the brand (it was red)
7. No idea

Hope that helps some.

Awesome post. . That's exactly what I'm looking for. Did the rivet gun come with rivets, or did you buy extra? About how much $? I have a friend that works at Ace, so maybe she can buy it for me. I used to work there as a summer job. Thanks and please keep answering the questions people.

rivets did not come with the case, they cost like $2 for 25 of them, I ran out. Get like 50-100, because you can use them on other cases too. I bet your friend can get you that stuff cheap, so ask him. Same with paint, he might get a good discount on that too.

I found these paint products for blue outside, black inside. Could I use them?
Interior and Exterior Metal in True Blue
Exterior Plastic in Patriotic Blue
Primer for metal.
The Fusion series says it doesn't need sanding or priming, but shouldn't I sand and apply Adhesion Promoter? The only one I could find was duplicolor, but will it work?
Clear coat for everything
Will these paints be very glossy?
I found the krylon fusion, indoor/outdoor, and clearcoat at Aceoutlet so hopefully they have it in stock at the store.
