ok guys well some of you know i had a minor accident when i was upgrading components in my pc anyway i decided im gonna try my hand at a minor mod im a total n00b and have to travel to my uncles workshop what is 200miles from my home so i can do the work i have planned

here's my story

whilst i was modding/upgrading my Armor+ full tower case i didn't notice my window had slipped and stepped back whilst admiring the Thermalright Ultra black on my motherboard and well i Cracked the acrylic see pic >



anyway im looking at either painting the inside of my case black or using carbin vinaly + getting another 4x cathodes 2 for the front armor plates what swing out + 2 more to use internally

problem im having is i cant find a replacement window anywhere so figured i would get some modders mesh and peice's of acrylic and give it a go myself any tips help etc.. well appreciated i would get the mod bros to do it for me but international shipping cost's etc.. would bankrupt me lol

what would be nice is if the mod bros have an armor+ full tower case that they could get reference window shape/design on they would sell to other armor+ owners looking at modding this beautiful case

i will also use the sig i made see below this paragraph and have that airbrushed on the right side panel behind my motherboard tray i know a good artist who could hand paint it

my plans on what im doing to my armor + full tower case

first i need to fabricate a new door/window ive ordered 4x 500mm x 500mm acrylic panels as this is my first full mod no doubt ill break a few things but if i manage it ill be fabricating more than 1 window for the armor + full tower useing different themes

ive also orderd 2 different shapes of modders mesh the case itself will stay pretty much stock just the window itself what will change

ive got some carbon fibre sheet vinal what im gonna use on the internal parts of the case the motherboard tray im gonna have painted black or i could just lay the carbon vinal sheet's over the stock metal havent made my mind up yet

other plans are 4x more cold cathodes and hopefully if i can get hold of thermaltake get a 250mm led FX fan unless you guys know where i can get an led fx fan that i can program to say what i want it to say or show etc...

ill try and keep you all upto date on my progress as im a total n00b at modding this could take me quite a while + i have to get access to my uncles workshop which has lots of tools etc... meaning i have to drive half way accross england to get there figured i would do this on weekends when im off work ill be starting this mod after the holidays hopefully

i got my acrylic sheet shipped today will have it 23rd december along with the carbon fibre and the knightrider type sound activated cathodes!

which will sit behind the armor plates below is a pic of my first mod i done today i installed a vandle switch which controls the lighting in my case



ive orderd my 3x 140mm fans + a sheet of filters for the bottom intake dust builds up extremely quickly in the case and i have to clean it every other day it really effects the temps on my true when the fins get clogged with **** lol

ty all i did was use a diamond tipped drill bit and wire cutters then bent the mesh into shape pushed in the switch but i did have to take the mesh out of the plastic/metal shroud so i could work it quite easy tbh only about 10 minutes work.

if if get my carbon sheet's ill start cutting them into shape for the internal parts of the case im also doing a filter mod for the bottom intake but im waiting on the 140mm fans as i need them both installed to shape the filter

will keep y'all updated on my progress as this is my very first attempt at modding xD

also got the new fans bear in mind on the new window i need to get it cut its pure flat not contored and will make it a lot easier to fit and cut the window sections to see the tru and my gpu's
