My little tool isn't for sale lol. I really recommend making one for yourself though though if you're going to try this project. You can pick up screw driver bits for pennies on the dollar. That and a little quality time with a file and a dremel and you're in business.
![]() As far as what size sleeving, 99% of what I used is 1/8th inch. It's easily big enough to handle two wires per if you wanted to double up and save some sleeving. Most of the heatshrink I used was 3/16, but 1/4 inch works just as well. Handy tip on cutting both the sleeving and the heatshrink, I used an exacto knife on a cutting mat that had a quarter inch graph paper like grid on it. Made it a real easy task to get nice consistent lengths, which is really key for a polished finished look. Most of what you see in my pics is 3/4 inch lengths for the heat shrink "caps". Fair warning, this is a fairly time consuming process that will more than likely hurt rather than help many cable management aspirations you might have. I guess it looks pretty cool though. I know that's why I did it.

it does look very very good when you sleeve it all. but i totally agree that it takes a massive amount of time.
the feeling of getting it all done though is just wonderful.

Heh aborted, I'd being lying if I told you I didn't take more than a fair measure or inspiration from the MDPC crew. Long long way to go before this rig is in that league though.
![]() nafljhy, I'd also be remiss if I didn't give a tip of the hat to Valkyrie as motivation as well. You sir speak the truth; sleeving is one of those jobs that definitely feels good when finished. It's not that hard to do, but it can get tedious. Going back to Valkyrie as one of many a muse, that's one bummer about this clean cut sleeving. As far as I know they don't sell it in colors, only black. I like the black, but I wouldn't mind at least a splash of color in there. ![]() Thanks again for all the comments folks. It's funny, I mostly posted this as a place to consolidate pics so I could show the family the new box when I flew back home this week. I'm glad y'all like it though. Mom and Dad will probably just think I'm nuts.

Great looking mod warf. Will you make one of those tools for me ? .. the ones that come with the sleeving kit are flimsy and break easily

Nope. I tried replacing the brushes. The switch is broken. It offers very little resistance and it does not click into a particular speed. instead it just seems to very freely move about.
