Thanks for the nod munky

I'm guessing you're talking about the Xigmatek's. Those are these: XLF-F1253

On the rads I'm using S-Flex's: SFF21G

and for the front intake and top pseudo hard drive fan, I'm using Slipstreams: SY1225SL12SH

All are controlled by two of these Sunbeamtech Rheobus's: RHK-BA (although technically I used the silver version)

Wow! This looks sweet! I just stumbled upon this via the motm links, and that first post with the pics is very impressive. I really like the single sleeved mass of cables and your neat management. I dig the color scheme as well! The newest loops additions look great, I'll have to come back and visit for the middle chunk of posts to see how you did it all!

Thanks matey. I was playing around on the overclockersUK website, sort of planning my next build (they are quiet expensive, but have a large stock/quick website)

I really want to go i7, but sorta know I would just be spoiling myself, so could just buy the best LGA775 chip, and loads of DDR2 RAM.

Anyway, was thinking about how cool your tubing looked, whilt looking at those ram that have the 'inbuilt watercooling barbs' and thought, hey, that would look cool in his case if he were to just stick random tubing on there, connecting each RAM to eachother (not wc'ed)

Thank you ModMinded. Glad you found my little journey here.

I hope you enjoy the log. There's a lot of twists and turns, and a fair share of failures along the way, but that's part of what makes moddin fun.

NP joe.

There is some merit to an LGA 775 system right now. This rig is a screamer by all accounts, and all the parts can be purchased today for roughly half of what I paid for them only a year ago.

As far as the ram, you have a good eye for balance, or at least, a similar eye for it as I do.

I thought about water cooling the ram, but it really really doesn't need it. The stock Northbridge solution on this board dumps a ton of heat (right on the primary VGA), so I could somewhat justify that. The Ram though, that would be a push. I did however decide I couldn't leave it well enough alone. I ended up modding out an older Corsair 3-fan cooler for it. Pretty much purely for cosmetic/aesthetic reasons.

If the weather cooperates, I'm going to try to get some new pictures up this afternoon.

Pic update.

Lugged the box outside for some decent shots of the side panels, new loop, and ram cooler.

First, a walk around:

and the fun stuff:

The fan controller is a pretty standard mod. I swapped in four UV orange (non LED) 40mm fans I picked up from PPC's. I did tap out the 4/40 fan screw holes to take my M3 hardware, and knocked out the 6/32 inserts for the four main thumbscrew mounts and tapped those holes for some 10/32 hex head screws I had laying around. I've got some ideas I want to try for lighting it that would also provide some ambient light in the case, but for now, I think I'll probably leave it. Maybe I'll get more motivated if I ever decide to throw a window in.

I'll close with what I consider to be one of the first decent macro shots I've taken:

Cheers folks.
