Hey everybody, good news! I finally got this project rolling! I literally did not sleep last night, and I spent the entire night putting it together. Some elements came out great, others were obviously rushed (sorry!). I just needed to get everything put together before I leave for Afghanistan so i can sell the rest of my spare components laying around the house.

Now you're all going to hate me. Not only did I bum-rush everything through in one night, but my wife loaned our camera to someone and we still haven't gotten it back yet.

But I'll take a bunch of pictures as soon as we get it back, and I'll be fine-tuning some of my sloppy rush-jobs between now and then. But the most important thing to me right now is that I'm finally using it, and it's functional. I still have plenty of work left to do, but sadly the majority of the fun, expensive, time-consuming stuff is going to have to wait until my return next summer.

As a side note, one thing that I've learned in doing this project is that I do not enjoy cable-sleeving, and I am not very good at it. So next time around, I think I will pay to have it done for me, as long the whoever does it uses the incredibly awesome, super-expensive MDPC-X sleeving. I will now settle for nothing less!

Thanks everybody for your patience in seeing this through with me. I know it's been a long time coming, and I promise I won't let you down!
