How good are the temps on the T-Rads? I have been looking at getting one for a while now, and sticking a 120mm fan directly onto it. Either that or opt for a dual slot cooler from another nvidia card.

They really work well, but I speculate to say just about as good as any other aftermarket GPU cooler. For me, the real advantage in these things is the look and the ability to streamline the cooling so much. Although a factory dual-slot cooler would probably cool almost as well and actually take up less space. But where's the fun in that if you don't get to drill holes in fans? Lol.
