Im just WOWing at every pic.

You should also look into the Xigmatek Dark Knight S1283. Great cooler plus its a darker black than the TRUE Black. Also the Zerotherm Nirvana 120.

Well I'm not at liberty to discuss what I paid, but since I bought the case and we agreed on a price before he even set a price and launched the site, I got it for a little less than that. Although I probably paid substantially more for my case than even the average enthusiast would, it was worth every penny as far as I'm concerned.

I blame the initial $300 price tag he has to put up to even get a TJ07 to mod. But until people start buying them in mass quantity, that's just not going to change.

Thanks for the suggestion Brythe. But I'm in love with the TRUE's performance, therefore I'm very reluctant to consider anything else.

Thanks a lot prosser13! It really means a lot to me to have someone that's been around as long as you have offer such kind words.

I'm really glas I posted this log, it's gotten me motivated to get out there and continue what I started. Sometimes life gets pretty busy and it gets put on the backburner, but I wasn't expecting this kind of support from so many people here. I'll have to get some work done today just to give you guys an update!

Grrr I envy you. Ive been tracking murderbox ever since it was launched.
I too emailed Charles early last year about if it would be possible just to buy the accessories such as the braid wraps, sata cables etc

He then told me about murdermod and i've been tracking that for Europe for ages.

I was tempted to get one, but at a price of over $1000 I decided to give it a miss.

Heyah, Hiyah!

Man... you sure got great taste in cases. I also fell in deep smit with that case when you cued me in... amazing in it's simple design characteristics that when implemented, look and function in a manner befitting the cream of the crop.

VGA coolers ~ I love those TR coolers, too bad about the SLI bridge, but I am confident that you will be able to work your way around that little hurdle. As for the capacitor; other than the sight of canted caps being mildly annoying, I am sure you have simple eased the offending cap off to the side. The flexibility in its legs ought to compensate quite adequately without there being any danger of weakening the connection and both physically and conductively (is that a word? lol.)... no offense as I am not preaching, just blabbing

This is gonna be a smokin' build, and I can see the :turd:-eating grin on your face already!

Hey there Syr, and welcome to my thread! I agree, it's the simplicity that maintains the appeal. My wife even commented today about how ugly my Ultra Grid case is and was wanting to know how long until I get my "pretty" one back in here.

Yeah, it's kinda the least of my worries. I'm sure I'll get it working before it's all said and done. I just need to get the right bridge.

Nice to see you stopping by brother! And yes, it's the process that makes it most fun. Otherwise, why don't we all just go and buy a pre-manufactured system like a Dell? Where's the fun in that?

Well I went out to the garage to get some work done on the case, but unfortunately I spent pretty much all my time cleaning.

It's been sitting in the garage for some time now, and the dust has really accumulated. So I took everything apart, cleaned it immaculately, and sorted what I will and won't use for now. It's back in the garage wrapped in plastic so that next time I get out there to work, I can actually get some stuff done.

I have decided though that I am at a standstill until I sleeve some cables. I messed up my 24-pin cable the first time I tried sleeving it, and Silverstone is sending me a replacement which should be here sometime this week.

Also, my DA800 should be arriving by mid-week, and I'll sleeve those cables and kind of get them where I want them.

In the meantime, I have 3 spots in my case where 2 fans will be directly side by side, and I need to make it so that I just have one fan connector at that point, and then I just run an extension and plug in a single connector to control both fans. This should make my wire clutter easier to manage in those problem areas. It's going to be both 8800GTs, and the top grill. I have them sitting right here at my desk with me, along with my sleeving. Hopefully my black connectors will come in early this week so I can get that all together.

So that's about the best update I can offer for now. Sorry, no pics. But I promise I will have some on the next update. For now though, I hate sleeving. But the end result is so worthwhile!
