Cooler Master Cosmos 1000 Right Panel Fix (sig rig)
Haha, crafty CR goes from 5 month mod to 5 minute mod ![]() Anyway, back in May, my first mod evar was my cosmos for cable management. Ever since then, the right panel never closed correctly, so all this time its been secured with blue tape. I went right away into Jessie's Gumdrop, and then The Intelligence, so I never had time to further mod this case to fix the problem, until now... there she is all stripped down ![]() I had parts scattered everwhere in my office... I masked off the nooks and crannies of the case with paper to keep out the dust from cutting. The lines are where I am gonna chop her to bits ![]() after the first two short cuts I stood her on her head and buzzed along the long cut ![]() nice gaping hole eh? its not even to pass wires thru, its to gain the 1/4 that the upright rail wastes towards the right panel, choping this piece out basically increases the gap by 1/4", where the wiring has to wrap around the upright beam, to go to the devices and front panel connectors I wasnt in this for looks, it was purely functional, so on the back side I used black tape to secure the mnpctech.com c-channel, then clipped the original white channel to protect along the new horizontal edges. The edges were filed and rounded prior to this pic starting to reinstall my gear theres all my stuff slammed back into the rig ![]() click click - no bulging panel, no blue tape ![]() well that was my wire-managed-CM-Cosmos-1000- who's-right-panel-wouldnt-close-properly-but-is-now-fixed mod, hope you enjoyed it ![]() thanks for watching * This Worklog post was generated using WorklogCreator - Version: 1.0.0.7 * Free Download: http://www.mod2software.com/worklogc...logcreator.zip

look at The Intelligence, that whole case cut job was done with a Dremel (except the fan holes - those were holesaws
)

nice simple ftw.
remeber guys that a rotary tool like a dremel it will kick back if u don't hold it properly. i've used dremels in my auto,house etc... and recently just got the hang of cutting out circles on plastic and carbon fiber w/o a guide. it's like a girl u gotta know when to give and when to pull the slack...hahaha but really be careful cause when it makes a boo-boo it will make a BOO-BOO
