Hello everyone here at overclock.net!
__________________As you can already tell, I am a new member here and have been perusing through the forums looking at many of the builds that people have posted on here. I am a part of the Geezer Gaming Community and thought that I had might as well do a post in here, where there are many others like myself who share my passion in building and modding computers. So pretty much, I'm currently a student in college and am working with a few monetary and space limitations, meaning that this build will most likely take a few months for me to get to the point of finished project. Anyways, I had might as well go ahead and post some pictures to get the ball rolling. Here are some pictures of the Coolermaster Cosmos S case that I will be working with. They aren't my own, but would be the same if I were to take them. A good view of the exterior of the Cosmos S. ![]() Another view of the front of the case. ![]() Great shots of the left side panel and the mesh. ![]() ![]() The interior. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Pictures were not of my own, but were found at: http://www.hexus.net/content/item.php?item=11939&page=1 More to come shortly.

That is a smart redesign of an already great case. I wish I had it right now. I'm interested to see what you do with it.

Since the power button is touch sensitive, it has a black and yellow wire that connects to the motherboard 24-pin connector via an adapter. Unfortunately, they only made the length from the adapter to the 24-pin motherboard connection like 4-6" long. So, you end up with the unsleeved wiring and connection popping through. I've done a quick fix for this using electrical tape, but I am going to sleeve each wire on the 24-pin motherboard adapter to clean it up. An added hole on the motherboard tray for the 24-pin connection will also further help this look much cleaner.

Here are a few of the additions to the watercooling system that will help when I add two more 8800GTX's to the system and put them on them on the loop.
__________________I have considered doing a dual-loop system, but I feel that it would make the case look too cluttered for my liking. If I am running two radiators (a triple 120mm on the top and a dual 120mm in the front), then there would be no need to go with a dual loop system. I am really looking at doing some basic case mods using a Dremel that I just purchased.
__________________1) Cutting out fan grills for better cosmetics and airflow. 2) Using the existing hole in the side panel to put in a clear acrylic window. 3) Cutting out holes in the motherboard tray for improved cable management. 4) Cutting out holes on the right side of the drive bay cage to improve the wiring for fans, drives, etc. 5) Would like to try sanding down the grills on the top panel and front panel bay covers to make them brighter. Other things that I have seen before, such as stealthing the disc drives, are not as high on the priority list and I don't see much in doing things like that. I might actually either remove or paint the plastic underneath the removable top panel; however, it might become flimsy if the plastic mesh is removed. At the very least, painting it black would help remove the plastic look to the part. The fans that I chose were the best price I could find for 120mm fans with blue LED's while having a decent CFM to dB ratio, as I don't expect to be using a fan controller with these fans. Ideally, I'd paint the exterior plastic accent pieces black to almost stealth the case; however, I don't have the space to do it and really don't want to deal with the problems with dust that I'd face during the painting process. I will also be sleeving all of the wires similar to the Murdermod style, where each wire is sleeved individually. This means that I'll have to purchase the tools, such as extractors and heatgun, to get do this. As far as putting in a side panel window, I'm sure that the 3mm acrylic that I posted in my previous post should work just fine. I'd appreciate some input into this, as I've had windows in the past that turned out not to my liking, such as insane smudging, static electricity collecting dust, etc. I would really like to also find a way to fix the right swinging cover that's on the front of the case. When I first used this case in a build, I foolishly tugged too hard on the piece, breaking a small plastic clip that is supposed to hold the swinging door in place. If anyone has any ideas besides the double sided tape that I've been using, I'd be extremely grateful. As far as the watercooling is concerned, I'm planning on doing a single loop to utilize the two radiators that I currently have. Pump -> GPU Waterblocks -> Northbridge/Southbridge Waterblock -> CPU Waterblocks -> Mosfet Waterblocks -> Top 3 x 120mm Radiator -> XSPC Reservoir -> XSPC 5.25" Bay Pump/Reservoir -> Front 2 x 120mm Radiator -> Pump This is simply just an option that I have. I actually will probably do something different after reviewing my plans on how I plan to plumb the cooling system. I decided to wait on doing anything until I purchase the all-in-one waterblock for the northbridge and southbridge, which will allow me to run a tri-sli setup. If I had decided to use a different cooler, I might not be able to utilize all three PCI-E x16 slots because of the length of graphics cards these days. I still have yet to purchase thermal paste too and I'm sure as hell not buying it from my local Radioshack again, as the last stuff I ended up buying was around $5 for a ****ty little tube of the stuff. I'm inclined to wait until I buy the case fans from newegg to buy the cheapest stuff they have. The two Koolance 8800GTX/Ultra waterblocks that I have (one is a recent purchase) also need thermal pads, so that's another setback for me as well. Does anyone know where I can buy a set of these that will work well for these GPU Waterblocks? Anyways, I'll try to keep things moving along and will be sure to post plenty of pictures along the way. If I have any other thoughts or questions for you all to answer, I'll be sure to post them up here. And if anyone has any suggestions for mods to do, I'll be more than happy if you post your comments here. Thanks everyone.

Thanks. I appreciate the comments.
__________________Should be hopefully ordering some more stuff in a few weeks. I just have to get another 8800GTX and thermal paste before I go about installing the tri-sli without watercooling the mosfets, northbridge, or southbridge. I feel like those will probably come last and I'm not even completely sure about watercooling the mosfets. I bet that they would be just fine with some decent heatsinks. The main reason for watercooling the northbridge is to cut out the noise generated by the stock fan, which annoys the living hell out of me. ![]() lolAnyways, I also think I forgot to mention something else in my plans, but if I remember, I'll be sure to post it on here. Damn insomnia. ![]() Also will be posting all the Youtube videos on here that I have for the rig I'm running. If you want to get a head start, my Youtube channel is www.youtube.com/footballplayayo

So I managed to get the EVGA 9800GTX+ sold and shipped out.
__________________I also purchased a used EVGA 8800GTX through Ebay for a decent price, so once that and the Koolance waterblock for it arrive, I should be able to work on the build. ![]() In the meantime, I'm going to test fit the components to see how well things are going to fit together. I will so go ahead and order the fans, thermal paste, and whatever else that I can afford right now.
