I'm eagerly awaiting this log, just like everyone else.
 I am curious though Rustler. I probably missed something, but why all the empty space in the front of the case? It seems it could be a good 4-5 inches shorter (depth wise) if you mounted that HD vertically?

thanks for the comments and subs guys
regarding the case size (front area) yeah I originally was going to do something different so it would be smaller, but then I got all anal about having the hdd sitting flush vs on edge. I think fail rates increase for hdd's when not sitting flush, but maybe I am being paranoid. I guess I can reassess when I have the parts (if I ever get them since ups lost the entire order  )read the story here: http://www.overclock.net/rants-raves...aspeth-ny.html lol Like I said the design isnt set in stone yet so feel free to add ideas here. I am especially not fully sold on the design of the front face either

Why not mount the HDD to the top of the case above the mobo - that would save the same amount of space
I like the front but prefer three equally spaced circles rather than a group of two at the top.
