Hey, thanks man I am glad we are getting all this positive feedback from ppl. It really is making us feel good about the mod. We have run into a little issue. We aren't sure how we want to paint the outside. We were thinking about some sort of 2 tone sponge painting to get that rusty textured look but we don't really know. once we get further down the road we will try a few things out but I was hoping someone on these boards might have a suggestion for us.

Definitely go for texture. Why not add some sort of bondo or something just to create the texture, then just spray paint the two different colors (I know the SG1 DHDs are grey stone, but what are the Pegasus DHDs?).
Actually, now that I think of it, the Pegasus ones would be more "modern" and would probably look better with very minor texturing. Fiberglass filler (bondo) may still work, though.

This case will be sex to eyes when it's completed, I wish you good luck, and I am subscribed for sure.

This is what we used for reference and we wanted a similar texture.
